FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER IN SOUTH WEST LONDON

Capturing the special bond between siblings is often a key priority for parents. We’ll chat beforehand about toys and activities that your children enjoy, so we have a good starting point for engaging them on the day. Sometimes this involves reading a story together or simply having a race outside. Whatever your children enjoy will work, and it will make great photos!

Sibling photos are some of my favourites to photograph because they’re SO READY to have some fun.

A FEW IDEAS FOR SIBLING PHOTO SESSION

THE CLASSIC
This one is an easy photo idea for siblings, but it’s where I always start! Throw an arm around your sibling’s shoulders. Little kids could sit criss-cross applesauce next to each other and do this one, and teens or adult siblings can just stand. The key is to get suuuuuuper close (sure hope you like each other a little!). If there are more than two siblings, vary your arms by holding around the waist, holding hands, or leaning on a shoulder.

I asked them to run, explore and generally be themselves and the result is a picture of confident, energetic and happy children.

I believe that it’s important to have beautiful images to look back on, your sibling images will become cherished family treasures

DANCING OR SPINNING
Truly my FAVOURITE and is fun for any age! Grab hands and play a round of Ring-Around-The-Roses or just dance around in a circle super slow and then SUPER FAST!

BIG HUG
Once we’ve warmed up with a traditional photo and some fun movement photos, it’s great when the kids give their favourite sibling a big squeeze!

PIGGYBACK RIDES
One of my favourite photo ideas for siblings, the piggyback ride is fun for all ages! More active big siblings love getting to do something more energetic during the session, and there’s always some sweet interaction that happens. I like to save this one for towards the end of the session in case things get especially rowdy, but it’s a fun way to end a sibling photoshoot.

Here are some of my favourite photos from a recent sibling photo shoot in Kew Gardens.
