If I can recommend any place for spectacular spring or summer photography in my locality, it has to be the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew. Even after many years, each visit is inspirational, especially for a local Richmond based photographer.

I was delighted when Michelle contacted me for “an outdoor portrait photo session at Kew Gardens”. My imagination runs wild during such moments!

The abundance of awe-inspiring backdrops at this UNESCO World Heritage site are too vast to list – Kew Gardens was the fourth London site to be given this special status, and the largest in the capital.

I’ve listed some of my favourite places for the very best Kew Gardens photography below. These provide official links to some of the most famous backgrounds that have been used over the years in various publications, documentaries and films.

Princess of Wales Conservatory
The Nash Conservatory
Davies Alpine House
Great Pagoda
Palm House
Cambridge Cottage
Rose Garden
Mediterranean Garden and King William’s Temple
Treetop Walkway

Many thanks Michelle for your ideas and being such an explorative subject during our few hours of creativity together. We captured your uniqueness and expressed it through these images. Enjoy!
