This ‘at home’ maternity photoshoot in Barnes was just stunning! I previously met Diana, Darek and their two year old daughter Victoria when they booked a studio based Christmas themed photo session. It was wonderful to know that they were expecting their second child. It’s always humbling when clients choose me for repeat bookings; even more so to capture these beautiful memories in their home.

This lifestyle maternity photoshoot was relaxed, fun and full of love. Photographing a pregnancy photo session in their lovely home made for an authentic family photography session. Being a resident in an Edwardian period home myself, I have an affinity for period homes. The setting by Diana and Darek was impressive – made even more beautiful by the cuteness of Victoria and the radiance that Diana was exuding!

The trimester period of pregnancy is nothing short of a miracle. Your body is capable of growing another human being within; a precious child who is already dearly loved, though you’re yet to meet them. Your body is changing, and I create images which help you to celebrate these changes, from your adorable ‘bump’ to your newly beautiful complexion.

Lifestyle maternity photoshoots don’t have to be boring; if you want to pose in your favourite lingerie or party dress, I’m down with that. If you want to photograph on location, just tell me where. If you want something spectacular but haven’t quite decided what, I’m full of ideas that I’d love to share with you. Equally, lifestyle maternity photo sessions aren’t just about you and your bump – if you have a partner, kids or even a pet who you’d like to capture alongside your growing belly, I’m open to suggestions. Some of the most unique maternity photoshoots I’ve created have involved the whole family, or a location or outfit that you simply wouldn’t expect to see in this kind of imagery. Take a look at my maternity lifestyle portfolio to get an idea of what can be captured.

A maternity photoshoot at home is a great option. You can feel totally relaxed and the pictures will reflect what you want to show in your story.
If you already have children, it’s even better. The kids tend to cooperate more, since they usually feel more comfortable at their homes. Besides a maternity photo session, you end up with a family photoshoot as well.
