Zara’s arrival into this world was a rather special one – mummy never thought much of Valentine’s Day. The ‘due date’ was 3 February 2013 and I was overdue by 10 days when I went into labour on the 13th. I was desperate to give birth that day but my husband wanted a Valentine’s baby…
Unfortunately for me it was a prolonged labour. Doctor Kate who looked after me from 10pm was actually born on 13 February herself and declared ‘we’ve only had boys delivered today so let’s get this girl out!’ In the end, Zara was born 26 minutes past midnight on Valentine’s Day – my husband was ecstatic!
To celebrate Zara’s 8th birthday, we did a simple but memorable themed celebration in Richmond upon Thames. Some of these fleeting moments were captured during the photo shoot by the river in Richmond.
